Postdoc Positions in Computational Genomics
Applications are invited for postdoc positions in computational genomics in Jian Ma’s lab at the Computational Biology Department in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. The research focus will be method development in computational genomics. Potential projects include nuclear genome organization, structural variation, cancer genomics, and comparative genomics of gene regulation. The candidate will be expected to participate in both novel algorithm development and data analysis.
* A PhD in computational biology, computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, electrical engineering, or relevant physical science areas. Strong background in machine learning is preferred.
* Experience with high-throughput sequencing data.
* Strong programming skills. Comfortable in a linux environment.
The term for this position is flexible but most likely will be 3 years.
