Biographical Info

Dr. Wu is interested in understanding complex human diseases (such as cancers and asthma) using computational and systems biology approaches. In particular, she is interested in: i) identifying genetic and regulatory mechanisms underlying human diseases to help better understand why different genetic and gene expression changes in patients can lead to different disease phenotypes; ii) identifying biomarkers, and classifying and diagnosing complex human diseases using metadata (e.g., genetic, gene expression, and clinical data); and iii) predicting outcomes of patients using metadata.
