Kathryn RoederProfessor Carnegie Mellon UniversityDepartment of Statistics and Computational Biology Department
The primary goal of Dr. Roeder’s research group is to develop statistical tools for finding associations between patterns of genetic variation and complex disease. Data arises from primarily from Next Generation Sequencing and gene expression arrays. Her methodological work is motivated by studies of schizophrenia, autism and other genetic disorders. She is also interested in the population genetics of human gene diversity.
