Bioinformatics PostDoc / Scientific Programmer / Research Associate
A postdoctoral position in computational biology in Ilyin lab at Carnegie Mellon University-Qatar in Doha, Qatar is available immediately to do analysis of expression data, functional annotations, protein-protein interaction networks, and other topics related to personalized medicine, specifically cancer. The applicant should have MS or Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Structural Biology, Computer Science or relevant disciplines. Research experience in computational biology and strong computer programming skills in one or more languages: Python, MySQL, Java, C/C++ are required. The applicant needs a strong background and experience in large-scale data analysis, storage, querying bioinformatics DBs.
Knowledge of molecular biology, structural biology, refinement methods in crystallography, background in math/physics is a plus.
